He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams University in 1981. – Obtained a master’s degree in dermatology and venereology, Ain Shams University, 1987. He holds a PhD in Medicinal Plants, Cairo University, 1985. He holds a fellowship degree from the British Royal College of Physicians in 2006. He worked as a research assistant in the Pharmacology Department at the National Research Center, April 1976, an assistant lecturer in the same department, July 1980, a researcher in the same department, August 1985, a research assistant professor. In the same department August 1990 – Research Professor in the same department August 1995 – Head of the National Research Center from November 19, 2001 until November 18, 2009 – Research Professor at the Dermatology Research Department – Medical Research Division from November 19, 2009 until now.
